Our client, a materials technology and recycling group with a global presence and big ambitions, was facing some challenges in attracting graduates in IT. They partnered with Projective Group to find a time-efficient and cost-effective way of attracting and retaining new professionals with skills and potential.
The right exposure
Being a global industrial player doesn’t necessarily attract IT graduates. So when our client wanted to find two young potentials with an SAP background in 2017, they took a leap of faith. “Running recruitment campaigns to fill around two positions a year would be costly, with little certainty of successfully attracting the right talent,” says the CIO.
Enter Projective Group. We are well known among students and graduates with an interest in IT. We give lectures at colleges and universities and attend job fairs to ensure maximum exposure. Our recruitment team also religiously scours LinkedIn for promising profiles. And we approach recruitment in an “innovative and distinctive way”, according to the client’s CIO.
Fruitful partnership
“We particularly appreciate the matching between candidates and our organisation, the time saved throughout the process and the ongoing training and coaching efforts, which are also new to our own HR organisation,” the CIO explains.
This initial successful collaboration has led to a long and fruitful partnership that continues to this day. In 2023, we have 13 consultants working with the client, while 12 have already been integrated into the internal staff.

Time gains
In addition to the quality of the candidates, the cultural fit and the seamless integration framework, our client is very pleased with the time savings. “The biggest substantial gain is the fact that our HR department spends less time on the selection and recruitment process, combined with a seamless integration framework for the young graduates. I would estimate these time savings at up to 60-70% compared to a traditional recruitment model,” says the CIO.

With an impressive ambition to double in size over the years ahead, we’re sure we’ll be able to continue to support this client’s IT department and enjoy this partnership for many years to come.
